We stayed at Woodlands last year. What a lovely site with friendly staff and beautiful surroundings. The best site I have ever stayed at. We had booked for Bank Holiday weekend this year butbit looks like this will not now go ahead. We hope our bookings will stand for when we can go back again we are a group of Morris dancers hoping to dance in the area and dont want to stay anywhere else

We stayed here for two nights in mid-September 2019. There are lots of great things about this site. The caravan and camping area is spacious and the caravan pitches are large and easy to manoeuvre into. This area is set away from the road and backed by lovely fells to which there is easy access for walking. Although there are also statics here, they are discretely laid out and in separate areas. The facilities block is new, attractive, clean and loads more complimentary words! There is lots of space for children and some swings etc. All the notices are done in a friendly way. The staff we met were welcoming, helpful and friendly, especially when it came to discussing the best way to get back from Abersytwyth after the train ride. We were in the caravan area, but the camping area looked equally good. All in all a really nice place.

Lovely set up, clean and good facilities. But it has a few issues. Firstly no dog field to let your dog’s have a run around (must be on lead all the time). Secondly the sheep which surround the site on all sides are a lot noisier than you would think bleating ALL night. And lastly and the reason we cut our stay short and left early as we could not stand it any longer are the flies (we got eaten alive) and after two nights it was easier to count the places not bitten than how many bites we had. That said if you don’t have dogs and you do not mind being bitten to death there some lovely walks and there is a very nice little on site tea rooms, it’s right next to devil’s bridge and only a short drive from alot of other lovely towns and villages.

Went here in March of this year, thoroughly enjoyed our stay even when it snowed looking forward to a return visit, hopefully in March next year. Such a lovely place, peaceful and quiet.

What a gem of a site with wonderful views from exceptionally large pitches, both grass & hard standings, and a toilet block which puts most other sites to shame. Always hot water and spotlessly clean. The friendly & helpful staff & owners coupled with a laid back approach created the perfect weeks stay. Very dog friendly with walks into the hills from site. Will be definitely back!

“Wonderful, what a beautiful spot”

We have stayed at the Woodlands site several times over the years, this time in our motorhome. Love the location, views spectacular, especially if you walk up onto the hill. Facilities are very clean and staff very friendly. There is a café/shop at the beginning of the site, not associated I believe, but they offer takeaways when you don’t feel like cooking. Close to Aberystwyth and not too far from the Elan Valley.
Plan to stay again and again over the years

We’ve been coming here twice a year for years and in that time there has been constant improvement.
Always a friendly, clean, accommodating, welcome.
Shower block is amazing, always clean, warm and hot water 24hrs.
Would not stop anywhere else.
There’s a good pub/hotel 5mins walk away also.

“Long Weekend Break”

I was introduced to this site 10 years ago by a friend. I have been visiting every year since. In that time I have seen the site grow and develop the facilities to the excellent high standard we see today. The toilet, washing & laundry building is top rate and always immaculate. The pitches have gone from very basic with a few electric hookups, to many electric hookups, including the camping field, from few small hard standings, to many large area hard standings. The site is family run and you get a sense of being a part of the family during your stay. Everyone is so friendly, always on hand and nothing is too much trouble.
An excellent site to relax and enjoy the views or pursue your outdoor activities, something for everyone.
