Camping & Touring

It is with a heavy heart that as from today our caravan park and campsite will be closed until further notice due to the Covid-19 virus.
We are aware that many of our customers will be hugely disappointed that their holidays have been disrupted but we feel that this is the right decision to make at this time.  We will be emailing all customers that have made bookings with us in the next few days/weeks with further information. If you have a booking and do not receive any correspondence
from us then please can you email us on [email protected]

When you want to get away from the busy city life, why not come and visit us at The Woodlands in Devil’s Bridge, 12 miles from the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Set up your tent and relax with views of the Cambrian Mountains to help you unwind.

The Woodlands is a beautiful, family-friendly camping and touring site in the idyllic setting of Devil’s Bridge which is located in a quiet and picturesque area of Mid Wales. There is a variety of grass pitches and level hard ground pitches to choose between.

Camping and Touring

Pitches can be selected with or without an electric hook up and you can choose between grass or hard standing pitches. Some pitches have TV aerial points for digital TV reception. Parking is next to your unit. Awnings are to be pitched on the right hand side as you are facing your designated plot. All of our basalt stone hard standings are level and measure 7m x 10m with a 3m grass area dividing each pitch. Bring rock pegs for your awnings.  Unfortunately we cannot allow campfires or firepits but feel free to enjoy a BBQ.

There are picnic benches scattered throughout the site where you can eat al fresco whilst observing rabbits, squirrels and stunning red kites. Our 400 acre farm adjoins the camping field, giving you the freedom to go for walks straight from the camping field. Please bear in mind that dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

Change over time is at 2pm so there is no rush in the morning to pack up. You could enjoy a late breakfast or morning walk followed by lunch before you have to leave. If you arrive earlier than 2pm if your allocated electric point is available then you can go straight onto your plot. Non electric pitches are available from 9am.

Our Facilities

Newly built in 2014, the toilet block is centrally heated and features free showers and hairdryers for your convenience. There is also an individual disabled toilet and shower room as well as a separate family room and laundry room.

The playing area overlooks the camping and touring field with stunning views of the mountains. There is a small slide and this year we have added 2 sets of swings and a see-saw. If the weather changes we also have indoor table tennis which promises hours of fun. On the main green just by reception there is also an area to play football.

The on-site camp shop stocks a variety of groceries, newspapers and camping accessories, as well as a fine selection of Welsh crafts and gifts to take home. You could also buy some of our local Welsh Beers and chocolates.

In our lovely tea room you can sit down to a hearty breakfast which will set you up for the day and maybe take a peek at our lunchtime menu. If you’ve been sightseeing in the morning, an afternoon tea with homemade cakes could be just what you need. There is also a Friday and Saturday evening takeaway menu cooked to order.

We welcome walkers and rallies looking for somewhere to stay the night as we are within walking distance of the village and the local pub. If you plan on visiting us in the near future, why not check out our special offers below.
