Camping & Touring

When you want to get away from the busy city life, why not come and visit us at The Woodlands in Devil’s Bridge, 12 miles from the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Set up your tent and relax with views of the Cambrian Mountains to help you unwind.

The Woodlands is a beautiful, family-friendly camping and touring site in the idyllic setting of Devil’s Bridge which is located in a quiet and picturesque area of Mid Wales. There is a variety of grass pitches and level hard ground pitches to choose between.

Camping and Touring

Pitches can be selected with or without an electric hook up and you can choose between grass or hard standing pitches. Some pitches have TV aerial points for digital TV reception. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like a pitch with a TV aerial point. Parking is next to your unit. Awnings are to be pitched on the right-hand side as you are facing your designated plot. All of our basalt stone hard standings are level and measure 7m x 10m with a 3m grass area dividing each pitch. Bring rock pegs for your awnings.  Unfortunately, we cannot allow campfires or firepits but feel free to enjoy a BBQ.

There are picnic benches scattered throughout the site where you can eat al fresco whilst observing rabbits, squirrels and stunning red kites. Our 400-acre farm adjoins the camping field, giving you the freedom to go for walks straight from the camping field. Please bear in mind that dogs must be kept on leads at all times.

Departure time is at 1 pm so there is no rush in the morning to pack up. You could enjoy a late breakfast or morning walk followed by lunch before you have to leave. The arrival time is from 2 pm. If you wish to arrive earlier than 2 pm and your allocated electric pitch is available then you can go straight onto your plot. Non-electric pitches are available from 9 am.

Due to our location the only mobile phone networks that work in our area are Three and EE. If you do not have a phone signal and need to make a call to let someone know you have arrived safely then you are more than welcome to use our reception phone during opening hours. We have FREE WiFi that covers the majority of outdoor areas around the park, including the camping field, so you can make a WiFi call or check your emails. We have a very limited amount of MIFI routers for hire should you need to have access to the internet from your electric pitch. Please let us know if you would like to hire one.

Our Facilities

Newly built in 2014, the toilet block is centrally heated and features free showers and hairdryers for your convenience. There is also an individual disabled toilet and shower room as well as a separate family room and laundry room.

The playing area overlooks the camping and touring field with stunning views of the mountains. There are 2 sets of swings and a see-saw. If the weather changes we also have indoor table tennis which promises hours of fun. On the main green, just by reception, there is an area to play football and a further play area.

The on-site camp shop re opens on the 14th March 2024 and stocks a variety of groceries and camping accessories, as well as a fine selection of Welsh crafts and gifts to take home. You could also buy some of our local Welsh Beers and chocolates.

In our lovely tea room, you can sit down to a hearty breakfast which will set you up for the day and maybe take a peek at our lunchtime menu. If you’ve been sightseeing in the morning, an afternoon tea with homemade cakes could be just what you need.

We welcome walkers and rallies looking for somewhere to stay the night as we are within walking distance of the village and the local pub. If you plan on visiting us in the near future, why not check out our special offers below.
